Vision boards, new gym memberships, new diet plans, goals, goals, goals…

That’s what all the cool kids are doing right now.

Myself included and it’s not even Christmas 2021 yet! (It’s the 21st).

Because it’s the beginning of a new year, right? It’s time to throw caution to the wind and “dream new in ’22”, “find the new you in 2022”, and all the catchy things that rhyme with “22”…lolol.

But what if I didn’t finish what I started last year?

That’s one of the tough things about this time of year. There is such pressure to start something new. Dream bigger dreams, set bigger goals. It’s overwhelming at times.

Again, what if I’m not finished with last year yet? Do I abandon those goals for newer shinier ones? Do I pretend that it’s all Ok and just skip the end?

Don’t get me wrong I wholeheartedly believe that we should have wise time management and goals so that we can do whatever it is that we are made to do with all efficiency, but not at the expense of our Shalom.
I’m notorious for planning and not executing. I have a beautiful planner, a SolPlanner in fact (www.solplanners.com)
It’s the best planner that I’ve found for me.

As of this dotted line I have sat at my laptop for the past hour typing and deleting, typing and deleting, typing and deleting…

I am proving my own point of not wanting to feel like a failure so I keep reaching for perfection.
